Canoeist has probably been the world's longest running canoeing magazine, founded in 1953 as White Water Magazine. In 2003 it took the inaugural Achievement Award of the Periodical Publishers Association, a British publishing Oscar. It is non profit making and independent of canoe trade and administrative interests. Articles, items, news and other contributions are welcomed but Canoeist has never been in a position to pay for such submissions. There are no paid staff. Now exclusively in newsletter PDF format, it can be downloaded free from this site for personal use.
